Capítulo 13: ‘Promesa?’

3 semanas después. Dallas, TX. 10:38 AM. Narra Nick

Dios mío, 3 semanas sin saber nada de Angie. Estoy que muero, necesito saber de ella, contarle lo que he hecho. No he podido divertirme, no puedo. Siempre pensando en ella, en lo mal que debe estar. Y para el colmo nos quedaremos 6 semanas más. Quiero tomar el siguiente vuelo de vuelta a LA, no aguanto más estar aquí sin saber de Angie, pero se que si lo hago mis padres se molestarán, tampoco quiero eso. Que hago Dios? QUE HAGO? Quiero estar con ella, abrazarla, besarla, decirle cuanto la amo.

Narradora

Nick caminaba, pasando sus manos x su cabeza y pateando cada cosa que se le atravesaba. Estaba desesperado, quería tener a Angie entre sus brazos, decirle que la amaba. Pero la pregunta es; ella lo aceptaría?

Los Ángeles, CA. 8:40 AM. Narra Anthony

Dios, me duele tanto ver a Angie en ese estado. Después de lo que vio, y de los mensajes que le ha enviado Miley ha estado muy mal. Yo no creo eso de Nick, pero la chica se ha vuelto tan fastidiosa que estoy empezando a creer que es cierto. Melannie se fue de vuelta a Venezuela hace 1 semana, Angie comenzó en la universidad y hasta el momento ha dado todo lo mejor de ella para poder salir bien, algo que ha logrado.

Angie es inteligente, y aunque esté mal se mantiene. Cuando la muerte de su madre estaba muy mal, aún así sus notas nunca bajaron de 9/10. Estoy orgulloso de ella, es muy buena estudiante. Ahora, su menor nota ha sido 7, y estaba molesta por ese 6. Pero volvió a su promedio normal, gracias a Dios.

Anthony: puedo pasar hija? –Anuncié tocando su puerta-.

Angie: si papá. Pasa. –Dijo ella entre sollozos, por lo que logré escuchar-.

Anthony: hija, no me gusta que estés aquí encerrada. Solo sales de la casa a la universidad y de la universidad para acá. Tienes que salir mi niña. No te puedes quedar aquí … -Me interrumpió-.

Angie: papá, por favor. No quiero tocar el tema. De verdad. Se que estás preocupado de que yo no salga, pero no quiero salir. Si las chicas de la Universidad quieren venir, bienvenidas sean. Pero yo no voy a salir de aquí, no quiero. –Se quedó callada unos segundos-. Y de verdad perdóname si soy muy dura. –Agachó su cabeza y pude observar una lágrima corriendo por su mejilla, la limpié y levanté su mirada-.

Anthony: hija, te entiendo. Se perfectamente como te sientes pero tampoco te puedes encerrar aquí, jamás olvidarás lo que paso. Necesitas salir, divertirte. Por favor. –Me abrazó y lloró todavía mas, que dolor verla así-.

Angie: papi yo lo amo. Quiero odiarlo pero mi corazón es terco y no me obedece. No quiero saber más de él, si acaso de Joe y de Kevin, pero no quiero escuchar su nombre mas nunca. Menos el de esa perra. Los dos me arruinaron la felicidad que tenía, que sean felices, pero esto lo pagan. No me quedaré de brazos cruzados. –Casi no le entendía, su voz estaba quebrada totalmente-.

Anthony: no princepsa, la venganza es mala. Vengarse no vale la pena, si esa fue su decisión no se puede hacer nada, déjalos quietos. Quedará en su conciencia. Tranquila, lo que va siempre vuelve, y puede volver hasta el doble. Si de verdad el te engañó, la vida lo hará pagar por eso. Pero no tú. –Le di un fuerte abrazo, calor de padre hace mejor, no?-.

Angie: papi estoy mal. Es como si ya no hubiese razones para vivir. Solo tú, no quiero seguir así. De verdad. Me enamoré papá, me enamoré de nuevo y volví a perder, no es justo. Siempre me pasa esto a mí, siempre termino con el corazón en mil pedacitos y cuando siento que por fin esta recuperándose vuelve a romperse en miles y miles de pedacitos mas chiquitos. Por que papá? Por que a mi?

Anthony: mi princesa no eres la única que pasa por estas situaciones. Hay muchas otras chicas, adolescentes, que pasan por lo mismo, pero se recuperan rápido. Tú tienes que ser así, recuperarte y demostrarle a Nick que nada te impide divertirte, que si él está feliz tú también lo estas. Si?

Angie: no puedo papi. No puedo. Perdóname pero no puedo. –Me abrazó de nuevo y yo le respondí con un fuerte abrazo, acariciando su espalda en forma de consuelo-.

Anthony: no llores más mi niña. Eres hermosa para estar llorando, mucho menos por un hombre…… Una cosa si te digo, si el te llega a buscar, escúchalo. Sólo escúchalo, sin decirle nada… Si lo que pasó es cierto, dale la espalda y vete, de lo contrario intenta quedar como su amiga al menos. Si?

Angie: no creo que pueda papá, me hizo mucho daño. Y algo así no lo perdono jamás. Quiero estar sola si? Por favor.

Anthony: okay mi princesa. Que estés bien. Te amo.

Angie: yo también a ti. Hasta luego. –Me levanté y salí de su habitación-.

No me gusta ver a Angie así, me duele mucho; espero que Nicholas vuelva pronto y nos explique a los dos que paso. Por que la verdad no creo eso de él.

Narra Angie

De nuevo perdí, mi corazón de nuevo está echo polvo. Hombres, todos son iguales… Espero que Joe si le sea fiel a Meli, se que si lo será, pero por ahora no confío en nadie… Creo que sólo en mi y en mi padre… y por supuesto en ti mami… Te extraño mucho, no sabes la falta que me hace un abrazo tuyo, te extraño mucho mamita linda… Las lágrimas no dejan de caer desde el día en que vi esas fotos, todavía no puedo creer que esos TE AMO que él decía no eran verdaderos. Pensé que esta vez si, que esta vez si sería feliz… Confíe de nuevo en un hombre, amé de nuevo… Dije TE AMO una vez más, pero como siempre salí perdiendo… Escuché tocar a mi puerta…

Angie: adelante! –Anuncié desde el balcón, donde estaba… Luego sentí unas manos cálidas. Quién más sería sino mi confidente? Danielle…-

Danielle: Angie, me contó tu papá… -No la dejé ni terminar cuando ya me le había lanzado en brazos… llorando… soy orgullosa, odio que me vean llorar, pero con lo mal que estoy no me importa nada-.

Angie: Dani no lo creo… no creo que haya sido él en esas fotos… Dime que no es él Danielle,… -casi no podía hablar, aún así ella entendió cada cosa que yo decía-.

Danielle: bonita no se. Tampoco he sabido nada de Kev, pero no creo que sea él.. Nick a ti te ama Angie, él te ama y no creo que se capaz de hacerte eso… Cálmate, no me gusta que estés asi…

Angie: no me puedo calmar…. Llevo 3 semanas intentando lo mismo, 3 semanas escuchando lo mismo, pero quien me da seguridad de que no es él? Quién me puede asegurar que no es Nick? –Danielle se quedó callada, sólo me abrazaba fuerte y trataba de calmarme…-.

Después de un rato abrazada a ella, me separé y limpié mis lágrimas. Necesitaba calmarme…

Angie: sabes? Pensé que esto por fin era real, que no era otra de mis ilusiones… Pero las fotos siguen y siguen llegando y son recientes, algunas son de ellos dos besándose, otras de ellos en algún lugar… Si quieres te las muestro, todavía las tengo porque pienso imprimirlas…

Danielle: para que imprimirás esas fotos? No es necesario… borralas…

Angie: no… las imprimiré por si el se te atreve a negarme todo… si él me busca le pediré explicación… no pienso volver a caer en redes de algún otro hombre, por lo menos no ahora… y si me pasa de nuevo tendré mas cuidado… -Dani suspiró profundamente, se levantó y me ayudó a levantarme-.

Danielle: vamos a arreglarte si? Quiero que salgas, y por lo menos te distraigas un poquito… Si? Hazlo por tu papá por lo menos.

Angie: está bien… Sólo por mi padre, porque se que no le gusta que esté así… -Dani sonrió-.

Danielle: bien, vamos a ver que te vas a poner… ve a darte una ducha y mientras que yo busco que te pondrás… Vale?

Angie: vale… -La abracé de nuevo y me metí a bañar. Me tomé poco más de 20 minutos y salí-.

Danielle: tardas eh? Aquí está lo que te elegí… -Encima de la cama estaba esto http://www.polyvore.com/greenn/set?id=9964253 , eso es algo que me gusta de ella, tiene buen gusto-.

Angie: gracias Dani… aprecio mucho que te preocupes así por mi.. de verdad… -Le sonríe algo forzada, ella me respondió de igual manera y me abrazó-.

Danielle: te espero abajo vale?

Angie: vale. En un ratito bajo. Gracias de nuevo. –Volví a sonreírle, luego ella salió. Yo me senté un ratito en la cama con mi telf en la mano-.

Se preguntarán por la foto que tenía de fondo en el telf… Ya no existe, está en mi telf todavía pero no como fondo. Ahora tengo una foto mía… Mami, de nuevo yo, me hacen falta tus palabras, me hacen falta tus abrazos… Te extraño mami, tu ves todo desde donde estás, si lo de Nick no es cierto dame alguna manera de saberlo… No aguanto vivir con esto… El daño que esas fotos me causaron fue horrible, se que no debería dejarme llevar por ello, incluso al principio no lo creí, pero las fotos siguen llegando… Por eso no se si creer o no… Te amo mami, te amo y te extraño…

Luego de hablar con ella, lancé un beso al aire. El viento sopló fuerte. Me vestí y baje, Danielle estaba hablando con mi papá.

Angie: estoy lista. –Abracé a mi padre-. Gracias papi.

Anthony: nada de gracias, solo quiero que te distraigas y ya. Ve con Dani, tiene planes muy buenos para ustedes. –Sonrió-.

Danielle: cierto, así que vamos. Y esto –tomó mi telf- se queda aquí. Nada de telf hoy. Que se reviente si llaman, pero nada de distracciones, aparte de las que tenemos para hoy. –Sonrió, yo le sonreí-.

Angie: okay, okay… Está bien. Vamos?

Danielle: vamos… -Me despedí de papá y salí casi arrastrada por Danielle, nos montamos en su auto y fuimos a dar un paseo-.

Me dirán exagerada, pero fuimos por casi todo LA, conocí partes que ni siquiera sabía que existían, haha. Ahorita estamos comiendo helado y hablando de cualquier cosa… Amo estar con Danielle, es divertida, es dulce… Creo que Kevin eligió bien al casarse con ella. Esta chica es muy linda y divertida realmente…

Angie: sabes? Kev en serio hizo buena elección contigo, eres muy divertida y dulce. –Ella sonrió alegre-.

Danielle: gracias. Digo lo mismo de ti, y admiro mucho que seas excelente estudiante aún sin ánimos para seguir adelante. Eso demuestra que eres una mujer fuerte y es muy importante, mujeres así consiguen cosas que ninguna otra podría conseguir. Sigue así y verás lo lejos que vas a llegar.

Angie: lo sé, lo hago por mi papá. Él odia que yo esté así, ni siquiera cuando mamá murió me dejaba a mi misma llorar, por lo menos no frente a él… Si yo lloraba él lo hacía, y así como papá odia verme llorar o verme triste, yo también. No me gusta. Por eso la mayoría de las veces lloraba sola en mi cuarto o con mis amigas…

Danielle: a veces es bueno permitirse llorar, sobre todo al lado de algún familiar. Pero si tú quieres que sea así, muy bien…. Dicen que ser orgulloso es malo, lo es, pero por una parte no. Porque el orgullo demuestra fortaleza. De nuevo te digo: sigue así, que nada ni nadie te detenga o te haga cambiar tu forma de ser. Eres simplemente TU, eso nada lo puede cambiar. Okay?

Angie: tranquila, así me mantendré. Espero que tu tampoco dejes que nada te cambie. Promesa? –Levanté mi mano derecha-.

Danielle: Promesa! –Levantó la suya, sonreímos y luego nos abrazamos-. Sigamos dando vueltas, me aburrí de estar aquí. Haha. Vamos.

Nos levantamos y nos dirigimos de nuevo al auto. Estuvimos horas y horas paseando por LA, casi a las 5:30 PM regresamos a mi casa, Dani se quedó a dormir, así que nos acostamos muy tarde hablando de mil y un cosas.
